Rose Varieties
When choosing from the different rose varieties there are many factors to consider. But no matter which rose varieties you choose, you always want to choose the freshest roses that you can. It doesn’t matter if you choose the best rose varieties; if they are not fresh they will droop and hang and may not even open or bloom at all. A main consideration for many people when choosing roses is the color. Red roses are the most popular rose and symbolize love and desire. Yellow roses symbolize friendship and white roses symbolize virtue and unity. Make sure to choose the rose varieties that best convey the message that you want to send.
Most rose varieties require the same type of care to make sure they last long and look beautiful while on display. Store all rose varieties in a cool environment until you are ready to use them—your refrigerator will work just fine storage. While displaying your roses, make sure they have fresh water and are not exposed to any harsh elements, like a heating vent or a cold draft. To help your roses last longer, you can add a little plant food as well. Your roses will be at their peak for the first couple of day, but can last up to a week or more with proper care and attention. And though roses may not last forever, there are few things as beautiful. Use roses to send a message to someone you love or admire today—he or she will appreciate it greatly!
