White Rose

Today, the white rose is used to symbolize purity and innocence. In earlier times, however, the white rose was used to convey the meaning of true love (now this meaning is typically ascribed to the red rose). A traditional bridal flower, the white rose can be seen displayed at many weddings and is used to create a feeling of virtue and unity. But in addition to being used at weddings, the white rose can also be used at funerals to show reverence for the person who is being remembered and honored. The purity of the white rose can be used in this context to convey a spiritual or heavenly feeling. But no matter how you utilize them, the beauty of white roses cannot be denied.

White roses can be especially delicate and you don’t want them to wilt or show any brown spots. Because of this, proper flower care is a must for white roses. Make sure to store your flowers in a cool place until you are ready to put them on display—your fridge will work just fine for this. Be sure to give your flowers enough water and you can also add a sprinkle of plant food to the water to help your roses last longer. Your roses will be at their peak for the first couple of days, but can last much longer with a little pruning and attention to detail. And because roses are so special, you will want them to last as long as possible—proper care will help you accomplish this desire.
