Yellow Rose

Yellow roses are a naturally growing rose, but a yellow rose wasn’t discovered until the 18th century in the Middle East. Before the discovery of the yellow rose, most roses were various shades of red and pink, but when this type of rose was discovered it became popular very quickly. One interesting fact is that the earlier natural growing yellow roses did not have the typical pleasing smell of other roses. In fact, the yellow rose originally smelled not good at all. But today, through the process of cultivation, the typical yellow rose has the same sweet smell as other colors of roses. Along with the smell, the meaning of the yellow rose has also changed over time. Yellow roses used to symbolize jealousy, while today they are typically used to convey feelings of friendship and joy. In fact, the yellow rose is one of the most popular flower choices to send to friends.

A yellow rose is simple to care for and anyone can do it. Just make sure your yellow roses have enough water so they don’t dry out and keep them out of the way of any harsh elements, such as cold drafts or heater vents. To help your roses last longer, you can also add a little plant food. A yellow rose will typically last a week or so with proper care and can be enjoyed each and every day. And even though a yellow may not last forever, there are few things as beautiful as fresh flowers.
